Chinese Herbal Medicine packaging for simple random lead shoddy, adulterated phenomenon, Hebei Province Food Drug Administration requirements on November 1 this year, the Chinese Herbal Medicine production enterprises must use standard packaging materials, and packaging capacity to a maximum of 1 kilogram. This marks the bulk slices from the historical stage in Hebei. Industry insiders say the move is not only beneficial to the quality of Chinese Herbal Medicine to track and trace, in enhancing the quality of slices, and promote traditional Chinese medicine industry, the promotion of Chinese traditional Medicine Will have far-reaching impact.
Packaging: Small changes bring big upgrade quality
10 27, U.S. prestige in Hebei Medicine Limited production of the workshop, small packaging bags Angelica is offline from the assembly line, plastic packaging pharmaceutical production license number directly shown, the implementation of standards, durability, storage, manufacturers, address and other information, and workers are affixed a small label displaying: “Name: Angelica; Origin: Gansu; batch number: 20091002; specifications: 1 × 1kg; production date: 2009.10.27; valid until: 2011.10.27.”
Han Gang, general manager of the company say they have used plastic bags Pharmaceutical Packaging Materials license production of the composite film, the cost of 0.2 yuan each, ventilation and ruggedness is very good. It is understood that the national “Drug Administration Law” of the Chinese Herbal Medicine does not make clear packaging requirements, has been the enterprise are based on customer requirements, select the sacks, bags for packaging Chinese Herbal Medicine. Sacks, waterproof bags can not proof, nor rats and insects, can not prevent some unscrupulous traders adulterated.
Han Gang, as early as 2002, they had already started to produce small package Chinese Herbal Medicine. “Our products are mainly Export The customer asked us to made a small package, generally 1 kg bag, some of your products are half-kilogram bag of rare, and even vacuum, in order to prevent product mildew. Since foreign trade products are small package, we decided to use domestic products are small package, this product is very popular to get a large hospital. ”
“Had mainly afraid of fraud, a hospital has a number of enterprises in the supply, quality problems slices out of the hospital to find you, not tell.” Han Gang of Hebei Food and Drug Administration of the expressed support for the new policy. In his view, small package product not only easy to preserve, good management, the issue of quality, but also easy to trace factory. “We use industry-wide small package, enables companies to pay more attention to quality management, and promote the healthy development of industry standards.”
Although the small-packing appears to be simple, but because a wide range of Chinese Herbal Medicine, the weight difference is difficult to grasp, difficult to achieve body-packing of the work, to be completely implemented by the manual. This will allow enterprises to increase the cost of some packaging and some repackaging staff. “But we are still in favor of the standard Chinese Herbal Medicine small package,” Yasukuni’s Health Source Pieces Xiao Xiao Yuezong General Manager said, “there is a package of business intelligence has been the support of national policy, no packaging, no qualifications, even on fake and shoddy products will be out of the market. ”
Regulation: more efficient and effective “Producing provinces of Hebei is a Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine has been one of our regulatory focus, in recent years, we have been looking for effective ways to strengthen supervision.” Hebei Food and Drug Administration Deputy Director Liu Xiao defended frankly, there is Chinese Herbal Medicine imperfections such as testing standards, processing standards are not unified, adulterated and other regulatory difficulties.
Liu Xiao defended the view that Chinese Herbal Medicine shoddy, adulterated phenomenon of the reasons for repeated first slices the majority of Chinese can not accurately identify strengths and weaknesses, to provide a fake Chinese living space; and some grass-roots hospitals in order to save costs , to buy from some Youyiyaofan Chinese Herbal Medicine; there are some unscrupulous traders in pursuit of economic interests, to buy directly from Yaonong Pieces, copy large enterprises label out OEM Sell . But the fundamental reason is that Chinese Herbal Medicine has long been the bag, woven bag, easy to fake, a problem not easy to find “the home”, these acts not only increased the difficulty of supervision, but also to bring great masses of medication security risks.
After nearly half a year of research, a purchase and sale of Chinese Herbal Medicine to standardize order in the province, to prevent the company from illegal channels buy the official introduction of the provisions of Chinese Herbal Medicine. The document states:
(A) of the medical institutions and drug retailers have legitimate Chinese Herbal Medicine from the production and business enterprises have purchased the required packaging and labeling of the slices, while online verification clerk qualifications and to obtain the appropriate certificates and instruments, etc. .

POMPANO BEACH, FL, July 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ — Anago Cleaning Systems is proud to announce the sale of the Eastern Ohio Master Territory to Ken Speece, based out of Canton, Ohio.
You’ve probably heard many times in life that “hey, it may be hard work, but you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to do it.”
Dave Povlitz, Chairman of Anago Cleaning Systems, said the same to Ken Speece, when describing the Anago system. What surprised and probably amused Dave is when Ken said, “that’s okay, I used to be a rocket scientist!” Now there’s a twist – a former rocket scientist turned Anago Master Owner.
Ken further remarked that although in his early days as an engineer he helped in the design of the Pershing II nuclear missile system for a defense contractor, that his career twists and turns led him into executive management positions and finally to wanting to own his own business. Ken said, “At this point in my life, I want to be in control. In control of my career, my financial return, and to build equity for myself and my family.” Ken looked at numerous independent businesses and franchise opportunities for nearly 3 months before deciding to go with Anago. “It was the business model, huge market size, relatively few professional competitors, and most of all, the support I felt from Anago Franchising and the other Master Owners that I interviewed, that pushed Anago to the top of my list. I couldn’t be more excited to get started!”
The variety of backgrounds of our Master Franchise Owners continues to expand. But don’t ask Ken to calculate missile trajectories any more. His new target is personal and professional success and satisfaction in owning his own Anago Master Franchise.
Anago Cleaning Systems is the 5th Fastest Growing Franchise in the US for 2010, according to Entrepreneur Magazine. For further information, please visit us on the web at www.AnagoUSA.com, or contact us directly at 800-213-5857.

OSAKA, JAPAN, July 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ — The index was designed to meet the need for consistent investing in a broad-based international vehicle; it represents the value of a basket of commodities consumed in the global economy, ranging from agricultural to energy and metals products. The value of this basket is tracked via futures contracts on 36 different exchanges traded physical commodities, quoted in five different currencies, and listed on twelve exchanges in five countries.
Alan Beck, President of an important Osaka think tank and founder of the International Commodity Index, said: “We’re pleased to include the OFOX Rapeseed Futures in the International Commodity Index. We continue to review and maintain the Index to reflect the underlying market, which is a key reason why the International Commodity Index is one of the most diverse, stable, and benchmark for commodity indices in the market.”
John Yak Nagamura, Director Commodity Derivatives, said: “We originally launched the Asian rapeseed contract to enable customers to hedge movements in the price of this increasingly important agricultural commodity, which is used for feed, oil, and also as a fuel. The International Commodity Index Committee’s decision to include OFOX Rapeseed Futures Contract reflects the contract’s growing global significance, and we expect that it will further increase interest in this market.”

The Food Business (Amendment) Regulation 2009 which prohibits the use of seawater from any prohibited area for keeping live seafood will come into effect tomorrow (August 1) in order to better control the source of seawater to protect public health.
The amended regulation provides that no person should extract, supply, deliver and use seawater from a prohibited area for keeping, in the course of food business, any live fish or shellfish that is intended for human consumption.
Offenders will be subject to a maximum penalty of $10,000 and three months imprisonment.
The prohibited areas include Victoria Harbour, 14 typhoon shelters, areas along the shoreline of Hong Kong Island (including Ap Lei Chau) and along the western shoreline of the New Territories (including Tsing Yi).
Elaborating on the legislative amendment, a spokesman for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said that for enhanced protection of public health, it was considered necessary to strengthen the existing regulatory control over the source of fish tank water.
The legislation would also ensure effective coverage of the many different possible parties involved in the supply chain of seawater.
The spokesman reminded the food trade to obtain seawater from reliable sources including:
Č
* seawater from non-prohibited areas,
* seawater from reliable suppliers, and
* synthetic seawater from marine salt and tap water.
He also urged the trade to properly operate and maintain the filtration and disinfection system of fish tank water to keep the water at a satisfactory standard of E. coli less than 610 per 100ml and without pathogenic organisms.
The Police Force had always been a professional, efficient and incorruptible upholder of justice during rapid and drastic changes in Hong Kong¦s economy, culture and politics, Vice-Chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Joseph Sung Jao-yiu, said today (July 31) when inspecting a passing-out parade at the Hong Kong Police College.
§From vanquishing conventional crimes, to effectively thwarting offences committed with the aid of high technology, to preserving social order during marches and demonstrations, the Hong Kong Police Force has achieved wonderful results, as all discerning citizens of the city are apt to recognise,¨ he said.
The present-day achievements of the Police Force are built upon years of tireless efforts of successive generations of officers. During the fight against the SARS epidemic in 2003, I personally witnessed the selfless efforts of police officers who, despite the devastation caused by the disease, served their fellow-citizens with admirable dedication and composure. The Force was a tower of strength amid the misery and gloom that infected the city, and was regarded by citizens as a source of reliable support.
§In the ensuing few years, a number of important international events took place in Hong Kong. These included the Ministerial Conferences of the World Trade Organisation in 2005, the Equestrian Events of the 2008 Olympic Games, and the East Asian Games last year,¨ he said.
§The Force took all these occasions in its stride, with firm commitment to the tasks entrusted to it, and at the same time exercising both judgment and good sense in the execution of policies and measures, manifesting fully its professionalism and high efficiency.¨
Professor Sung told the graduates that life-long education provided the answer to coping with changes in life and society.
§Life-long education certainly is not confined to books or the classroom. It enhances your experience and broadens your perspective, and requires clearly set goals and constant effort, as well as the capacity to make effective use of opportunities that arise in the workplace and at leisure,¨ he said.
He said that in their future career, the graduates should keep a vigilant eye on all that happened around them, analyse carefully their observations, and seek wisdom from experienced seniors in the Force. This would provide them with knowledge and experience that could not be attained through formal education, and with which they would be better equipped to respond to society¦s incessant changes.
He encouraged the graduates to carry on the fine tradition of the Force, based on service and aspiring always for greater achievements and to more exalted heights. In this way, Hong Kong would continue to be a top-ranked global metropolis, enjoying optimum safety and stability.
A total of 35 probationary inspectors and 147 recruit constables passed out today.
Police Report No. 4
The Department of Health (DH) is committed to the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding by implementing a sustained breastfeeding policy in all Maternal and Child Health Centres (MCHCs) and workplaces within the department for breastfeeding mothers, a Senior Medical Officer of the DH, Dr Rachel Cheng, said today (July 31) at a press conference marking 2010 World Breastfeeding Week.
The theme of 2010 World Breastfeeding Week is Breastfeeding: Just 10 steps! The baby- friendly way. Dr Cheng said, The policy could facilitate creating a supportive environment in MCHCs to ensure a uniform practice among staff members in promoting breastfeeding and encouraging postnatal staff members to continue breastfeeding after resuming duty.
Emphasising that breastmilk is the best natural food for babies, Dr Cheng said the immediate and long-term health benefits of breastfeeding for babies and their mothers are well recognised.
She said, Breastfed babies suffer fewer incidences of diarrhoea, respiratory and middle ear infections, and are less likely to develop allergies and childhood obesity later on. Breastfeeding promotes emotional bonding between mother and child.
It also helps mothers recover more quickly after delivery, and reduces the risks of breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
The DH endorsed the recommendations of the World Health Organisation in encouraging exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months after birth, with subsequent introduction of complementary food after the age of six months while continuing breastfeeding until the age of two or beyond.
Recognising the implementation of the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes as an important public health measure to protecting breastfeeding and ensuring proper use of breastmilk substitutes through marketing practices, the DH set up a multidisciplinary taskforce to develop and promote the Hong Kong Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes in June this year, Dr Cheng said.
On the trend in the prevalence and duration of breastfeeding in Hong Kong, Dr Cheng said the regular breastfeeding survey conducted by the Family Health Service in MCHCs since 1998 showed that the ever breastfeeding rate (mothers with a history of breastfeeding) has increased from 50% for babies born in 1997 to 74% for babies born in 2008.
The exclusive breastfeeding rate (those with no supplementary food) for babies four to six months old increased from 6% to 13% for the same cohorts of babies.
However, there is still room for improvement, compared with the higher rates reported in some other countries.
Dr Cheng called for sustained and concerted efforts from all sectors of the community, including families, healthcare professionals, the media and employers, to give encouragement and support to mothers to breastfeed their babies for a longer period.
Jointly organised by the DH, the Hospital Authority and the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative Hong Kong Association, the seven-day 2010 World Breastfeeding Week will be further promoted through TV and radio advertisements, newspaper articles and media interviews to raise community awareness of breastfeeding.
